We tend to ask a lot of questions that have nothing to do with tax. As much as we love conversation, the reason we ask those questions is because we want to understand the bigger picture, not just your profit and loss.

An accountant makes sure the compliance gets done, your tax, your BAS, your reporting. A business advisor uses those same numbers to help you make decisions and plan where the business is going next. At VBA you get both in the one relationship, which means the advice is always built on a real understanding of your financial position, not guesswork.
They’re traditionally two separate roles, and they often don’t talk to each other, which is where things fall through the cracks. We handle both under the one roof, so your day-to-day bookkeeping and your bigger-picture accounting are always working from the same page. Nothing gets lost in the gap between them.
At least four times a year, generally quarterly, with more touchpoints built in when the business needs them. We keep our client numbers low on purpose so this is genuinely possible, rather than something we promise and then struggle to deliver.
Less than you’d think. Most people put it off because they imagine a mountain of admin, but we handle the moving parts for you. We take care of the handover, request what we need from your previous accountant, and make sure nothing slips through the gaps.
