Bookkeeping and Payroll

Why don't we offer these as a stand alone?
Tax and bookkeeping done in isolation only tell you what already happened. On their own, they can't tell you what to do next, and that's usually the part business owners actually need help with.

We've watched it happen the other way too, the numbers get entered correctly, the return gets lodged on time, and the business owner still doesn't have the insight they needed to grow the business. So we don't offer these as standalone services. They're part of a bigger relationship built around understanding the business, not just processing it.
FAQ's
No, we don't offer standalone tax returns. We only work with businesses in a way that can actually support their growth, and a one-off return doesn't give us the room to do that. That's why tax and accounting sit inside SBAS, part of an ongoing relationship, not a single job.
Bookkeeping is the day-to-day — reconciling transactions and keeping your books current. Accounting is the bigger picture built from that data — financial statements, reporting, tax. You can have one without the other, but they work best when the same team's across both.
We only work with Xero. It's the platform we use across every client, including setup for businesses starting from scratch. If you're currently on something else, moving to Xero is part of getting your files set up properly, covered in the first steps of working together.
It's an add-on, not automatic. Tax and accounting are the baseline in every SBAS relationship. Payroll and bookkeeping get scoped in if and when your business needs them.
It depends on the size and complexity of what needs handling, so we don't put a number on this page. That gets scoped honestly once we understand your business, during the first call.
